Hello!On Monday ,we mostly stayed home,on Tuesday,I agreed to go help my mother in law prepare food for a meeting with all the church kitchen staff. I decided to make a salad similar to one I ate at a french restaurant..Okay so the salad was several types of lettuces with apple slices and candied walnuts,which by the way,I had to make myself,since I had a hard time finding them,and i added a honey rosemary vinagrette dressing,and I served the salad on slices of toasted french bread with fried goatcheese!it was really good.Goat cheese is expensive!
after that we came home,rested ,and then got ready to attend this dinner meeting,and ate and drank,came back home.
Yesterday ,I was mostly home.Sunday night i had been asked if I was available to participate in the picking up of the offering and I needed a lime green blouse,so I went on the hunt to a nearby thrift store,and I found a brand new blouse with tag still on.
I came home,noticed dryer was not working,rested a little a hubby,then I jumped and made chicken salad sandwiches,served them up,showered while hubby declogged dryer vent,then kissed hubby goodbye.
i went to church alone,and the family stayed home and watched It takes two,with the Olsen twins.They do not get tired of watching that movie,for some reason.They are cute so....
At church i sat alone and just focused on the service,and it was wonderful,the teaching was about honoring our parents,no matter what age we are,not to focus on the negative,but on the great qualities of our imperfect parents,to honor them even though they weren't model parents.God calls us to honor,He didn't specify to honor only honorable parents,we all make mistakes,and to know that we are/were loved.Honor them while they are still alive~
After church ,I quietly came in,all were in bed snoozing,including hubby,but I gently hugged him and he smiled and turned towards me ..
Today we woke up early ,and since I knew one of my sister in law"s was going to be at my mother in law's house, we invited ourselves over,all 15 of us ate breakfast there,we hanged out there just laughing and talking for a good 2 hours,then came home and let me just tell ya that the house is not a huge mess,but it does need some work done,especially laundry,and floor,we have a pool and sand ,so that has a lot to do with the condition of these floors,dishes are under control,beds are made,mostly all picked,just need some wiping done....so off I go to work and get things done.
I also need to go to the store and buy some food,oh yeah and clean the fridge and freezer,buy some bandaids,and some more summer shorts, which means another thrift store trip,but for that,I just might wait till Sunday ,that way I get a discount.I also need to make dental and vision appointments ..agh!
I have no idea what we're having for dinner ...yet,but it will surely be something quick and delish,...okay need to get this huge ball rolling
