D-mode

I am still in decluttering mode.In the near future ,God willing,we are turning the attic into two bedrooms and a small bathroom,which will also require a staircase :),so the size of our living room will be reduced by about a third.We have been looking at what furniture to get rid of.We already gave away our coffee table.The one I had was given to me ,when we moved here,and it wasn't really my taste.I mean it served us well and quite sturdy,but just not my style.Too fancy.I like more casual and practical,so hopefully when we do get one,it will need to be with storage.Also we are giving away our 9 foot wide entertainment.It is a very nice 3 piece E.C. made of oak,but it takes up too much space and very heavy.So for now our TV is sitting on a small table my dad made for me a few years ago.I have began the process of looking and re-looking through books and movies that will no longer abide in this home.Trying to keep it as simple as possible.I really do want to be a smarter shopper.Not just buy things because they are cute,then you end up with too many odds  and ends.Remembering that the more we own,the longer it takes to clean! And asking myself how much do i really need it.

Dinner will have to be something quick and simple.I like simple :)
We have a very busy evening.My 13 yr old daughter did the kind of art that the author of "The Very Hungry caterpillar" ,and her art with others',is going to be displayed during the summer in The Museum of Natural Science.And tonight they are having a ceremony and the family of the students are invited.Before we leave for that,there is a mandatory meeting at her school ,to inform us about the 7th grade spring trip coming up on Sunday.It should be quick so after the meeting ,we'll dash off to the opposite side of the city.And I give God and only God ,all the honor and glory,because as Christians,we know that in the bible it is written,that any good in us comes from God.
